Weekly Round Up: September 4

This week, to mark the reopening of schools, we launched SCHULTÜTE: WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL, an online exhibition featuring 10 interviewees with their Schultüten, plus bonus images of Archive Director Dr Bea Lewkowicz and Researcher Kristin Baumgartner. You can see the exhibition here.


We were amazed by the resilience of Ludwik Finkelstein and his mother, who experienced forced emigration to the Soviet Union after the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact:

We remembered what happened to Polish Jews who avoided Soviet emigration and stayed behind in Nazi-occupied Poland:
